Sales & Marketing – Scientific Lab Equipment's & Instruments
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve individual and team sales targets through effective planning and execution
- Develop and implement territory-level sales strategies
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities into revenue
- Manage and grow key accounts across academic, research, biotech, pharmaceutical, and industrial R&D sectors
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline with regular forecasting and reporting
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with key stakeholders (lab managers, procurement teams, and decision-makers)
- Expand the customer base and increase product penetration through cross-selling and upselling
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive follow-ups and support
- Promote and sell life science products, including laboratory instruments and equipment
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application discussions
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions based on research needs
- Coordinate with application and service teams for technical and post-sales support
- Generate leads through field visits (minimum 70% field activity), cold calling, networking, and industry events
- Conduct market research to track trends, competitor activities, and identify growth opportunities
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to management
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in life sciences, laboratory instrumentation, or lab furniture
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in managing key accounts and handling long or high-value sales cycles
- Anywhere in South India; willing to relocate to Bengaluru.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of life science products and laboratory environments
- Familiarity with molecular biology workflows and laboratory instrumentation
- Hands-on exposure to laboratory techniques is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong customer relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently and within a team
Tools & Other Requirements
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (field-focused role)
- Should own a personal vehicle for travel.
- Daily allowance, travel allowance, and mobile allowance will be reimbursed as per actuals
- Language proficiency: English, Hindi, and Kannada
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
