Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services on Spring Boot; maintain or extend Spring MVC where the product still uses it.
- Work with Oracle: development aligned to existing schemas, tuning of queries and procedures for transactional and reporting workloads; collaborate on data modelling with the team.
- Participate in HR / Payroll delivery: workflows, validations, and integrations—with appropriate care for PII and pay data.
- Contribute to LLM-augmented features in a governed way: tool/function use with clear boundaries, retrieval / grounding on approved internal data, observability, and adherence to enterprise security and compliance—not ad-hoc prompt-only scripts.
- Write concise technical designs, unit and integration tests where they add value; take part in code reviews and production troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience building backend systems in Java, including Spring Boot services in production.
- Bachelor’s degree or above; computer-related or equivalent field.
- Strong Java and a solid grounding in core APIs, concurrency, and service structure.
- Solid REST API design (errors, versioning, idempotency where relevant, auth aligned with platform).
- Strong Spring Boot and Spring MVC in real systems.
- Hands-on Oracle: SQL and PL/SQL as needed; basics of performance.
- Exposure to HR, HCM, or Payroll is a plus; sensitivity to PII/pay and regulated processes matters.
- Beyond using AI as an end user: practical involvement in LLM-augmented systems—e.g. orchestration, tool/function calling, grounding on internal data, evaluation or production monitoring.
- Able to debug and own problems through to resolution; works well in a team with clear written communication and willingness to pick up unfamiliar areas.
Nice-to-haves
- Spring AI, vector databases, or integration with external model providers under enterprise constraints.
- Event-driven architecture; Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Cloud (e.g. AWS), CI/CD, containers.
- Payroll engines, localization, or statutory filings in relevant geographies.
Pay: ₹549,170.13 - ₹914,861.96 per year
