To establish, maintain, and control all quality documentation, PPAP packages, and process logs required for aluminium gravity die casting (GDC) parts. This role ensures 100% audit readiness for strict Tier-1 automotive customers (Rane, TVS SCL) and maintains our QMS compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Documentation & PPAP Management
- Compile, update, and submit complete PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) packages for new casting parts.
- Maintain and revise core automotive quality documents: FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) specifically tailored to gravity die casting.
- Manage Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) for Rane Madras and TVS SCL, ensuring all inspection reports match their exact templates.
2. Document Control & Shop-Floor Logs
- Control the issuance, review, and obsolescence of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the melting, pouring, fettling, and machining areas.
- Ensure operators correctly fill out daily production logs, heat traceability charts, ladle temperature logs, and spectro-analysis records.
- Maintain the master calibration register for all testing equipment (pyrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, spectroscope).
3. Internal Audits & CAPA (Corrective Actions)
- Schedule and conduct regular internal process audits and product audits on the shop floor.
- Own the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) tracker. When a Tier-1 customer reports a rejection or defect, document the 8D report, Root Cause Analysis (Fishbone/5-Why), and log the permanent countermeasure.
- Act as the primary coordinator and host during external customer quality audits.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
