Position Summary
Harsha School of Law invites applications from qualified and passionate candidates for the position of Assistant Professor – Economics. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching Economics subjects to law students, mentoring students, supporting academic activities, and contributing to the overall academic excellence of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Economics and allied subjects prescribed under the law curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, lecture notes, study materials, and assessment tools.
- Conduct classroom teaching, tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions as required.
- Evaluate students through assignments, internal assessments, and examinations.
- Mentor and guide students in academic and professional development.
- Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, workshops, and faculty development programmes.
- Assist in organizing seminars, conferences, moot courts, legal awareness programmes, and institutional events.
- Contribute to research, publications, and academic extension activities.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, and departmental documentation.
- Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the Principal and Management.
Qualification
- M.A. in Economics from a recognized university.
- NET/SET qualification is preferred as per UGC/BCI norms.
- Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria prescribed by the UGC, Bar Council of India (BCI), and the affiliating university will be preferred.
Experience
- Freshers with excellent academic records may apply.
- Prior teaching experience in a Law College or Higher Education Institution will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Economics and its application in legal studies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and mentor students effectively.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital teaching tools.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institutional norms.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
