A Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) Setter configures, operates, and maintains vertical turning machines. Key duties include machine setup, tooling selection, and quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Align and secure holding fixtures, chucks, jaws, and cutting tools on the vertical table.
- Operations: Execute turning, facing, boring, grooving, drilling, and threading on large or heavy components.
- Parameters & Offsets: Adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets, and load or edit CNC programs.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial indicators.
- Qualification: ITI, DIPLOMA OR ANY DEGREE
