Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate IGCSE Biology Facilitator to join our secondary school faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire learners to explore the living world with curiosity and scientific rigor, fostering analytical thinking, research skills, and real-world application of biological concepts through inquiry-based and experiential learning approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and concept-driven Biology lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Biology curriculum.
- Foster critical thinking, scientific investigation, and problem-solving skills.
- Integrate practical laboratory experiments and hands-on investigations to deepen conceptual understanding.
- Prepare students effectively for IGCSE board examinations through structured revision strategies and exam-oriented practice.
- Design and implement formative and summative assessments to track student progress.
- Create a disciplined, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating classroom environment.
- Encourage participation in science fairs, Olympiads, research projects, and environmental initiatives.
- Collaborate with subject teams to design interdisciplinary and project-based learning experiences.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding academic progress and student development.
- Support co-curricular activities and school-wide academic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Prior experience teaching IGCSE Biology or Cambridge Secondary curriculum is desirable.
- Strong command of subject knowledge including Genetics, Ecology, Human Physiology, Cell Biology, and Biotechnology.
- Experience in handling board examination batches preferred.
- Proficiency in integrating technology and 21st-century teaching tools into classroom practice.
