Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement function for our food manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients, and other operational supplies while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. The role requires strong vendor management, negotiation skills, and knowledge of food industry procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Source and procure raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and consumables.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure procurement complies with company policies and food safety standards.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
- Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and supply risks.
- Manage inventory levels to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely order execution.
- Track procurement KPIs, budgets, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and commercial matters.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Technology, Commerce, or a related field.
- MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain/Procurement is preferred.
Experience
- 5–10 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a food manufacturing company.
- Experience in sourcing food ingredients, spices, edible oils, packaging materials, additives, or FMCG products is preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
