Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Centre Head to lead the day-to-day operations of our Skill Development Centre. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, experience in managing training centres, and expertise in operations, compliance, mobilization, placements, and team coordination. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth centre operations while achieving project targets and maintaining high-quality training standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operations of the Skill Development Centre.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, government guidelines, and quality standards.
- Supervise trainers, mobilizers, MIS, placement, hostel, and administrative staff.
- Monitor mobilization, admissions, batch formation, training delivery, assessments, and certifications.
- Achieve placement and post-placement retention targets.
- Maintain accurate documentation, MIS reports, and candidate records.
- Coordinate with government departments, funding agencies, assessment bodies, industry partners, and employers.
- Ensure biometric attendance, infrastructure readiness, classroom quality, and hostel management.
- Prepare for internal and external audits and inspections.
- Conduct regular review meetings and monitor team performance.
- Develop employer partnerships to support candidate placements.
- Ensure timely submission of reports and compliance documents.
- Resolve candidate grievances and maintain a positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Management, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Skill Development or vocational training programmes.
- At least 2 years of experience in managing government-funded or private skill development projects.
- Strong knowledge of training centre operations, MIS, documentation, and compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in handling government audits and inspections.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), ERP platforms, and biometric attendance systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to achieve training, placement, and retention KPIs.
- Willingness to travel as required.
