We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Area Sales Manager for the General Trade (GT) channel in Kochi. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market reach, and managing a team of sales executives within the designated territory. This role requires a strong understanding of the local market, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets in the FMCG sector.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for the General Trade channel in the Kochi region.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales executives, providing regular coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure optimal team performance.
- Identify and onboard new distributors and retailers, and strengthen relationships with existing partners to enhance product availability and visibility.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Ensure effective execution of trade marketing activities, promotional schemes, and merchandising standards across all retail outlets.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure efficient supply chain operations to prevent stock-outs and maximize sales.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
- Oversee collection of payments and manage outstanding accounts with distributors and retailers.
- Conduct regular market visits to understand ground realities, address issues, and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to provide market feedback and contribute to new product launches.
