Job Description: Legal Sales & Business Development Associate
About the Firm: Agile Mandates International Consultants
Agile Mandates is a modern, rapidly growing legal services firm built to challenge traditional legal models. Moving away from rigid corporate hierarchies and inefficient legacy practices, Agile Mandates applies agile project management methodologies and cutting-edge automation tools to legal delivery.
Our firm specializes in corporate compliance, structured legal operations, and strategic advisory services. By leveraging advanced internal software frameworks, AI-driven document management, and streamlined workflows, we provide predictable, high-value legal solutions to businesses, auditors, corporate networks, and institutional clients. We operate in a fast-paced, collaborative, and technology-forward environment that values adaptability, measurable growth, and exceptional client relationships.
Position Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, empathetic, and results-driven Legal Sales Representative to join our growing business development team. In this role, you will be the critical bridge between prospective corporate/individual clients and our legal team. You will not be practicing law; instead, you will focus on managing inbound inquiries, qualifying high-value leads, understanding client pain points, and demonstrating the firm's unique value proposition to convert prospects into retained clients.
The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication skills, a high degree of professional polish, and a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Conversion & Intake: Promptly respond to inbound inquiries (via phone, email, website, and referrals), conduct initial discovery calls, and expertly guide prospective clients through the firm’s intake process.
- Consultative Selling: Actively listen to prospects’ situations, identify their core legal and business compliance needs, and clearly communicate how our firm’s specialized expertise can help them achieve their goals.
- Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain the firm’s CRM system. Track leads diligently, follow up systematically with unconverted prospects, and ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks.
- Consultation Scheduling: Qualify leads based on the firm's ideal client profile and schedule formal strategic consultations with our attorneys and partners.
- Client Onboarding: Present fee structures, retainers, and fee agreements confidently. Follow up to ensure engagement letters are signed and initial payments are processed efficiently.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners (such as auditors, Chartered Accountants, corporate networks, or referral sources) to consistently drive new business to the firm.
Performance Expectations & Targets
To ensure alignment with the firm's growth objectives, the successful candidate will be expected to achieve established monthly and quarterly benchmarks:
- Revenue Generation: Consistently meet or exceed established monthly revenue quotas by closing qualified opportunities and securing client retainers.
- Conversion Benchmarks: Maintain a high conversion rate of qualified inbound inquiries into scheduled consultations and signed engagement agreements, in line with firm standards.
- Activity Quotas: Maintain a high volume of daily outbound follow-up activity (calls, emails, and touchpoints) tracked diligently within the firm's CRM.
- Response Time Compliance: Adhere strictly to the firm's Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for rapid response times to all fresh inbound leads.
- Strategic Growth: Actively identify and onboard new referral channels and professional partnerships to build a sustainable, long-term pipeline.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 2–5 years of successful experience in inside sales, business development, or account management with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding targets. Experience in professional services (legal, financial, insurance, or B2B SaaS) is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Law, or a related field.
- Tech Savviness: High comfort level with technology. Proficiency with modern CRM software, pipeline tracking tools, and modern scheduling platforms is essential.
- Communication Skills: Impeccable verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex corporate or legal service structures in a reassuring, easy-to-understand manner.
- Emotional Intelligence: High level of empathy, discretion, and negotiation skills. You must be comfortable interacting with high-net-worth individuals, corporate directors, and financial professionals.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary with a performance-based incentive directly to target achievement.
- Comprehensive training on our firm’s practice areas, tech platforms, and legal intake systems.
- Opportunities for professional growth and leadership as the business development department expands.
- A collaborative, professional, and dynamic office environment.
