Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant with 2 years of experience to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our interior design and fit-out company. The ideal candidate should have experience in accounting, taxation, invoicing, vendor payments, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally ERP/Tally Prime or other accounting software.
- Prepare sales invoices, purchase entries, debit notes, and credit notes.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, cash books, and ledgers.
- Process vendor payments and follow up on customer collections.
- Maintain project-wise cost records and expense tracking.
- Prepare GST returns and ensure timely statutory compliance.
- Deduct and deposit TDS as applicable and maintain related records.
- Assist in monthly and annual financial closing.
- Prepare MIS reports, profit & loss statements, and balance sheet support schedules.
- Maintain petty cash and monitor daily cash flow.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and banks.
- Maintain employee reimbursement and payroll records (if applicable).
- Organize and maintain financial documents, invoices, and supporting records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in an Interior, Construction, or Contracting company.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and email communication.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in project costing and budget monitoring.
- Knowledge of inventory and material accounting.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with accounting standards and statutory compliance.
