Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Understand client requirements, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Space Planning: Assess the space, including its dimensions, layout, and infrastructure.
- Design Concept: Develop a design concept that incorporates the client's needs, personal style, and the space's functionality.
- Material Selection: Choose materials, finishes, and furniture that align with the design concept and budget.
- Color Scheme: Select a color palette that complements the design concept and enhances the ambiance.
- Lighting Design: Plan and specify lighting systems that provide adequate illumination and ambiance.
- Furniture and Fixture Selection: Choose furniture, fixtures, and equipment that meet the client's needs and fit within the budget.
- Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Establish a budget and estimate costs for materials, labor, and services.
- Project Management: Oversee the implementation of the design plan, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Communication: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (required).
- 3+ years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in residential or commercial settings.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit)
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards
- Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
