The Campus Administrator (Residential) is responsible for the overall administration, maintenance, safety, discipline, and smooth functioning of the residential school campus. The role involves managing hostel operations, infrastructure, support staff, transport, security, housekeeping, and ensuring a safe, healthy, and conducive environment for students and staff residing on campus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campus Administration
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the entire school campus.
- Supervise administrative activities and maintain discipline on the campus.
- Coordinate with the Principal and Management regarding campus-related requirements.
- Implement school policies and administrative procedures effectively.
2. Hostel Management
- Oversee the functioning of boys' and girls' hostels.
- Ensure proper accommodation, food, hygiene, and welfare of boarding students.
- Monitor hostel discipline, attendance, and daily routines.
- Coordinate with wardens, matrons, and hostel staff for effective hostel operations.
3. Infrastructure & Maintenance
- Ensure proper maintenance of school buildings, hostels, classrooms, staff quarters, and common areas.
- Monitor electrical, plumbing, water supply, sanitation, and other utility services.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Maintain records of repairs and maintenance work.
4. Safety & Security
- Supervise campus security personnel and security systems.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety, disaster management, and emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and drills.
- Monitor entry and exit of visitors and vehicles.
5. Transport Management
- Oversee school transport operations and vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with transport safety regulations.
- Monitor drivers, conductors, and transport schedules.
- Maintain transport-related records and documentation.
6. Housekeeping & Hygiene
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation across the campus.
- Supervise housekeeping staff and contractors.
- Monitor waste management and pest control activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and hygiene standards.
7. Vendor & Resource Management
- Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Procure administrative and hostel supplies as per approved procedures.
- Verify bills, maintain inventory, and monitor stock levels.
- Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
8. Staff Supervision
- Supervise administrative, maintenance, security, transport, and housekeeping staff.
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
- Conduct regular meetings and provide operational guidance.
9. Student Welfare
- Ensure student safety, well-being, and comfort within the residential campus.
- Address student grievances related to hostel and campus facilities.
- Coordinate with parents regarding residential and welfare matters when required.
10. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain records related to hostel operations, maintenance, transport, security, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE, State Government, Health, Fire, and Safety regulations.
- Prepare periodic reports for management review.
