A Visa Counsellor helps students, tourists, workers, or immigrants understand and complete the visa application process for different countries. The role is common in immigration consultancies, study abroad agencies, and travel companies.
Main Responsibilities
- Explain visa requirements and eligibility
- Guide clients on documents needed
- Help fill visa application forms
- Check passports, financial papers, admission letters, etc.
- Schedule embassy or biometric appointments
- Track visa application status
- Prepare clients for interviews (student/work visas)
- Keep updated with immigration rules and embassy policies
- Maintain client records and follow-ups
