Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled BlueCrest ADF Workflow Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable document processing workflows and enterprise data pipelines integrating BlueCrest (Pitney Bowes) print/mail systems with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and modern Azure cloud services.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, BlueCrest Automated Document Factory (ADF), enterprise workflow orchestration, and high-volume batch processing. You will be responsible for building reliable, secure, and high-performance integrations that enable seamless movement of business-critical data into print and digital communication channels.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorkflow & Data Pipeline Development
- Design, develop, and maintain Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Logic Apps pipelines for document ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Build scalable workflows to support high-volume document generation, processing, and distribution.
- Implement end-to-end orchestration of batch workflows across enterprise applications and BlueCrest platforms.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and scalable integration components.
BlueCrest Integration
- Integrate Azure pipelines with BlueCrest (Pitney Bowes) document processing and print/mail systems.
- Automate print file generation, job scheduling, and output routing.
- Implement document batching, sorting, postal optimization, and print workflow automation.
- Support end-to-end document lifecycle management across print and digital delivery channels.
Azure Integration & Cloud Solutions
- Develop enterprise integrations using:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Logic Apps
- Azure Functions
- Azure Blob Storage
- Azure Data Lake Storage
- Build data transformation frameworks for structured and unstructured data including XML, JSON, CSV, and print stream formats.
- Integrate with upstream enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, and other business systems.
- Develop REST API-based integrations where required.
Performance & Reliability
- Optimize workflows for large-scale batch processing, throughput, and reliability.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, retry mechanisms, and automated recovery strategies.
- Troubleshoot workflow failures and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure SLA compliance and operational excellence.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure workflows comply with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory standards.
- Support audit requirements and document traceability.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment procedures.
- Follow DevOps best practices for source control, CI/CD, and release management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in workflow engineering, ETL/ELT development, or enterprise data integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Logic Apps.
- Experience integrating BlueCrest (Pitney Bowes) Automated Document Factory (ADF) or related document processing platforms.
- Strong understanding of high-volume batch processing frameworks.
- Experience building enterprise data integration solutions.
- Experience working with print stream formats and document processing workflows.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT design patterns and data transformation techniques.
- Experience with XML, JSON, CSV, PDF, and file-based integrations.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with SQL and scripting (Python preferred).
- Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Quadient Inspire or other Customer Communication Management (CCM) platforms.
- Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus and Event Grid.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging services.
- Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Understanding of postal optimization, print/mail operations, and document compliance.
