We are looking for an architect who is responsible for leading the design and development of construction projects, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing, safe, and functional. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle from initial concept and client consultation to final construction oversight while adhering to zoning laws, building codes, and sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design Development: Create detailed building designs, floor plans, and technical drawings using CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Client Collaboration: Consult with clients to determine project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Project Management: Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and urban planners to ensure structural integrity and design feasibility.
- Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure construction aligns with the approved blueprints.
- Documentation: Prepare specifications, project reports, and permit applications for government authorities.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Education: Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- Licensing: Must be a licensed Architect (registration with a professional body like NCARB, RIBA, or COA, depending on the region).
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to navigate structural challenges and budget constraints.
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex design concepts to stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Attributes :
- Experience with Sustainable Design (LEED or BREEAM certification).
- Proven portfolio of diverse projects (Commercial, Residential, or Industrial).
- Knowledge of emerging technologies like VR/AR for design visualisation.
