Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of foundry and casting manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience in fettling, grinding, chipping, and finishing operations.
- Knowledge of first-stage inspection and visual quality inspection of castings.
- Ability to identify casting defects and take corrective actions.
- Understanding of product identification, traceability, and material control requirements.
- Experience in welding inspection and monitoring of repair welding activities.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and surface finish requirements.
- Familiarity with acid pickling and post-processing activities.
- Experience in maintaining production records and daily reports, including fettling, welding, and pickling reports.
- Strong planning and scheduling skills to meet production and dispatch targets.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Quality, Foundry, Machine Shop, and Dispatch departments.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, PPE requirements, and 5S implementation.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a production environment.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, ERP systems preferred).
- Strong communication.
- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: 4-6 years in foundry operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role in Fettling or Finishing operations.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
