Job Summary
S1 Cafe is looking for a skilled and passionate South Indian Cook to join our kitchen team. We pride ourselves on delivering authentic taste, high quality, and excellent hygiene to our customers. Key Responsibilities Authentic Preparation: Prepare a variety of South Indian dishes, including various types of Dosas, soft Idlis, Medu Wada, Sambar, and authentic Chutneys. Batter Management: Master the art of grinding, fermenting, and maintaining the consistency of idli and dosa batters daily. Quality Control: Ensure every dish served meets our standards for authentic flavor, texture, and presentation. Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols. Inventory & Prep: Monitor stock levels of ingredients (lentils, rice, spices) and assist in daily prep work to ensure smooth service during peak hours. Requirements Experience: Proven experience as a South Indian Cook in a cafe or restaurant setting. Technical Skill: Expertise in using commercial wet grinders and large-scale tawas. Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, quick-service environment. Consistency: A deep understanding of traditional spice blends and cooking techniques to ensure a "home-cooked" taste every time.
