Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced *Lathe Machine Operator* to join our team. The candidate should have a strong background in operating *conventional lathe machines* with the ability to produce precision components as per engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up conventional lathe machines for turning, facing, threading, and other operations.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and job specifications.
- Select appropriate tools, materials, and cutting speeds for different machining tasks.
- Inspect machined parts using measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure the machine is in optimal working condition.
- Work closely with the production and quality team to meet daily targets.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations while following all safety guidelines.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in handling conventional lathe machines with precision.
- Strong understanding of turning operations and machining practices.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with measuring tools like micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges.
- Problem-solving mindset and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
