Job Summary
The Assistant Professor in Nursing is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate nursing students, guiding clinical training, conducting research activities, and contributing to the academic and administrative functions of the institution. The faculty member shall ensure high standards of nursing education in accordance with the norms prescribed by the relevant regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Academic Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and practical sessions as per the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools.
- Conduct classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching activities.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, presentations, and practical assessments.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, and internal assessment documentation.
- Mentor and guide students in academic and professional development.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during clinical postings in hospitals and healthcare settings.
- Ensure proper implementation of clinical objectives and learning outcomes.
- Demonstrate nursing procedures and maintain clinical competency.
- Coordinate with hospital authorities for effective clinical training.
Research and Development:
- Participate in research activities and academic projects.
- Encourage students to engage in evidence-based practice and research.
- Publish research papers and attend conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic innovation.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and institutional activities.
- Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, and community outreach programs.
- Support admission, examination, accreditation, and inspection-related activities.
- Maintain departmental records and submit reports as required.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated with advancements in nursing education and healthcare practices.
- Participate in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Continuing Nursing Education (CNE), and professional training programs.
- Adhere to the code of ethics and professional standards of nursing practice.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. Nursing in the relevant specialty from a recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN/RM) with a valid State Nursing Council registration.
- Experience as per the norms of the relevant regulatory authority.
- Strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours:
As per the institution's rules and academic schedule.

Salary:
As per institutional policy and applicable regulatory norms.
- Note: The Assistant Professor shall perform any other academic, clinical, administrative, or institutional duties assigned by the Principal/Management from time to time in the interest of the institution.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
