Fabric Inspection: Conduct thorough roll-by-roll checks (using 4-Point or 10-Point systems) to identify weave, dye, and structural defects before bulk cutting.
Testing & Evaluation: Test and verify critical fabric properties such as GSM (grams per square meter), dimensional stability (shrinkage), colorfastness (bleeding/rubbing), and skewing.
Shade Continuity: Ensure consistency of dye lots and perform batch-to-batch shade sorting to prevent mismatched panels in a single garment.
Supplier Coordination: Verify that received fabric matches the buyer's approved lab dips, strike-offs, and original swatches.
Defect Reporting: Document critical, major, and minor defects, isolate failed rolls, and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
Collaboration: Work alongside the cutting and production teams to guide the spreaders and cutters on defects to avoid during the lay and cut process.
