Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Logistics Executive to oversee our daily supply chain and warehouse operations. In this role, you will be the bridge between our warehouse floor and our transportation network. You will be directly responsible for coordinating efficient loading/unloading processes, optimizing inventory storage, and managing domestic transportation schedules to ensure on-time, damage-free deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Transportation & Fleet Management
- Coordinate daily dispatch schedules and assign routes to transport vendors or in-house drivers.
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve transit delays or carrier issues.
- Negotiate freight rates with transporters and maintain healthy vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with local transport regulations, e-way bills, and transit documentation.
2. Warehouse & Inventory Operations
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring optimal space utilization and organized stock placement.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Maintain strict safety and cleanliness standards across the warehouse floor.
3. Loading & Unloading Supervision
- Supervise ground staff during incoming and outgoing loading/unloading operations to prevent cargo damage.
- Verify incoming material counts against packing lists, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Implement efficient staging processes to minimize vehicle turnaround times (TAT) at the loading docks.
- Inspect the condition of vehicles before loading to ensure they meet safety and volume requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience as a Logistics Executive, Warehouse Coordinator, or similar on-ground role.
- Core Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse operations, material handling equipment (MHE) like forklifts/pallet jacks, and freight logistics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (for tracking data) and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Soft Skills: Excellent crisis-management skills, strong communication to handle truck drivers and vendors, and a high level of physical stamina for floor supervision.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory if experience is strong).
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
