Personal assistant: lifestyle, style and home
I’m looking for a smart, organised and thoughtful personal assistant to help me with the practical and creative parts of my life.
This is more than a traditional admin role. I want someone who can get to know my personality, interests and preferences, then help me make better decisions about my style, home, social life, travel and future plans.
I’m a 30-year-old Indian man who has spent roughly half my life in India and half outside India. I enjoy both Indian and Western culture, especially ideas that combine the two in a tasteful and natural way.
The right person should be comfortable giving their own opinions. I’m looking for someone who can say, “I think this would suit you better, and here’s why,” rather than simply sending me a list of search results.
What you’ll do
Personal style and fashion
- Help me develop a stronger personal sense of style
- Research and recommend clothes, shoes, accessories and grooming products
- Suggest outfits for work, dates, travel and social occasions
- Help me understand what colours, fits and styles suit me
- Find practical options from retailers available in India or the UK
- Keep track of my preferences and previous purchases
Home and interiors
- Help improve the look and feel of my home
- Research furniture, lighting, artwork, plants and decorative items
- Create simple mood boards and furnishing ideas
- Suggest ways to combine Indian influences with contemporary Western interiors
- Compare products, prices, reviews and delivery options
- Help make the home more comfortable, practical and visually coherent
Social life and organisation
- Manage my personal and social calendar
- Research restaurants, exhibitions, talks, events and activities around London
- Suggest ideas based on my interests and feedback
- Help plan dates, weekends, trips and time with friends
- Keep track of what I enjoyed so future recommendations become more personal
- Send a short daily WhatsApp update covering completed tasks, decisions needed and next steps
Property and practical support
- Search for rental homes for me and my partner
- Compare properties, neighbourhoods, transport links and prices
- Arrange viewings or contact agents when approved
- Research products, services, travel options, classes and gifts
- Purchase items only after receiving approval
There may occasionally be limited communication with people close to me, so discretion, warmth and good judgement are important.
What I’m looking for
You should be organised, reliable, patient and clear in your communication. You should be interested in fashion, interiors, culture, food, travel or lifestyle, and have good visual judgement and attention to detail.
You should also be able to work independently, make practical recommendations, follow tasks through and respond well to feedback.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but strong judgement, communication and relevant experience matter more than a particular qualification.
Women candidates are encouraged to apply, particularly those comfortable working on personal style, interiors and lifestyle-related tasks.
Working arrangements and compensation
- Approximately 10 hours per week
- Flexible schedule
- Fully remote, preferably from Hyderabad
- One weekly check-in call of approximately 15–30 minutes
- Daily WhatsApp updates
- Three-month renewable terms
- Two weeks’ notice from either side
- Approved purchases and work-related expenses reimbursed separately
- The starting salary is ₹15,000–₹20,000 per month, depending on experience.
There will also be a performance bonus every three months:
- ₹3,000 for meeting expectations
- ₹5,000 for exceeding expectations
If the role expands, responsibilities and compensation can be reviewed. Any work for other people in my network would be discussed separately and would require separate compensation.
