Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Planning: Create daily and yearly lessons that match the school curriculum.
- Teaching Language and Literature: Teach prose, poetry, grammar, and writing skills to build strong reading and speaking habits.
- Student Assessment: Check tests, grade assignments, and give helpful feedback to students.
- Classroom Management: Keep a safe, calm, and positive place for all students to learn.
- Parent Communication: Meet with parents to talk about how their children are doing in school.
- School Activities: Help with school events, debates, or other extra activities.
Requirements and Skills
- Education: Graduate or Post-Graduate in English plus a BEd degree.
- Experience: Usually 2 to 3 years of teaching middle or high school classes.
- Language Skills: Very strong spoken and written English skills.
- Computer Skills: Basic use of computers and digital tools for online or smart classrooms.
- Personal Traits: High patience, clear speaking, and a friendly attitude when working with young people.
