Job Summary
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing mechanical equipment, components, and systems in accordance with customer requirements, industry standards, and company specifications. The role includes preparing detailed engineering drawings, performing design calculations, coordinating with manufacturing and project teams, and supporting product development from concept to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical equipment, assemblies, and components using CAD software.
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, assembly, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Perform engineering design calculations for strength, stability, and performance.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material specifications.
- Review customer specifications and ensure designs comply with applicable standards.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, procurement, quality, and project teams.
- Resolve manufacturing and installation issues by providing engineering support.
- Prepare design documentation, technical reports, manuals, and datasheets.
- Verify drawings for dimensional accuracy and manufacturability.
- Conduct design reviews and implement improvements for cost reduction and performance enhancement.
- Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required.
- Maintain engineering records and revision control.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with significant relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 2–8 years of experience in mechanical design, heavy engineering, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Experience in mineral processing, material handling, mining, or process equipment is preferred.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting).
- Experience with SolidWorks, Creo for 3D modeling.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
