We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Chef Assistant to join our growing culinary team. In this role, you will work closely with our Head Pastry Chef to prepare a wide variety of high-quality baked goods and desserts. The ideal candidate has basic baking knowledge, an eye for presentation, and an eager willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients: Weigh, measure, and assemble raw materials accurately according to standard company recipes.
- Support production: Assist in creating doughs, batters, tarts, creams, and various fillings under direct guidance.
- Finish and decorate: Apply precise finishes, glazes, toppings, and basic decorations to desserts.
- Maintain workstations: Ensure all baking stations, counters, and storage areas are meticulously cleaned and organized.
- Sanitize equipment: Wash, maintain, and properly handle delicate baking tools, pastry machines, and ovens.
- Manage inventory: Track supplies, monitor expiration dates, and report raw ingredient shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow guidelines: Strictly adhere to all local food health, safety, and hygiene (HACCP) regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience working as a line cook, prep cook, or baking assistant.
- Education: High school diploma required; a certificate or degree in Culinary Arts/Pastry Arts is highly preferred.
- Technical skills: Basic understanding of pastry techniques, portion controls, and standard kitchen equipment.
- Physical stamina: stand for extended periods during long shifts.
- Soft skills: Strong communication skills, adaptability to instructions, and a collaborative team spirit.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
