About the role
Gatti Chutney is a Bengaluru-style premium South Indian QSR with three outlets in Pune, a Central Kitchen and a Warehouse. This role sits with our IT & MIS function and keeps our daily data running — pulling data from our POS and inventory systems, cleaning it, generating the daily reports management relies on, and chasing down errors at the source.
You do not need prior experience in inventory, ERP or analytics. You will be trained and handheld on all of it. What we need is someone reliable, careful with detail, and comfortable doing the same job well every single day.
What you will do
Daily data & reporting
- Download daily data from our POS and inventory systems on a fixed schedule.
- Run our existing reporting scripts to generate the daily reports (training provided — no coding background required).
- Clean and correct closing stock, wastage and consumption data before reports are generated.
- Identify data-entry errors, get them corrected by the concerned outlet or department, and re-run clean reports.
- Maintain and update master data in the ERP as required.
Coordination
- Follow up with outlet teams and the Central Kitchen to collect missing data and get entry errors fixed.
- Send a short end-of-day update on what ran, what was corrected, and what is still pending.
IT & vendor coordination (support role)
- Log IT issues (internet, CCTV, printers, systems) raised by outlets.
- Coordinate with vendors: raise the issue, get quotations, compile a comparison, follow up until the issue is closed.
- You are not expected to fix technical problems yourself — your job is to make sure nothing sits unresolved. The IT & MIS Manager guides you and handles anything technical.
What we are looking for
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel: filters, sorting, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic IF formulas. This will be tested at the interview.
- Strong attention to detail — the job is catching things that are wrong.
- Consistency and discipline. This is daily work with fixed timelines, not project work.
- Willingness to follow up repeatedly with people until a task is closed.
- Clear written and spoken communication (English and Hindi; Marathi an advantage).
- Comfortable being taught and taking correction.
What you get out of this internship
- Real inventory and cost concepts, taught properly. PO, GRN, variance, MOQ, yield, consumption, stock transfer — how they actually work in a live multi-outlet food business, not from a textbook.
- Hands-on ERP and POS experience. Working daily inside the systems that run a real business, including master data ownership.
- Excel to a working professional standard. You will use it every day on real data, with someone correcting you.
- A full view of how a restaurant business runs. Central Kitchen, warehouse, three outlets, purchase to consumption — most people take years to see the whole chain.
- Direct exposure to management. Small team, flat structure. Your daily output is read by the founder and management, not buried three levels down.
- Training and structure, not “figure it out.” Written SOPs, a defined daily routine, and a manager who handholds you through the first months.
- A certificate and a reference on completion, and a genuine shot at a full-time role based on how you perform.
Be clear about what this is not: this is disciplined daily execution work — the same core tasks, done accurately, every day. If you want variety and project work from day one, this will frustrate you. If you want to learn a business from the inside by being genuinely reliable, this is a strong start.
