PLUMBER – Residential Construction
Work Location: Kelambakkam Vandalur & Ambattur
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Plumber to join our construction team for high-rise residential projects. The role involves the installation, testing, and maintenance of plumbing systems across multiple floors in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in vertical plumbing systems, MEP coordination, and multi-storey plumbing works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute plumbing installations for water supply, drainage, rainwater, and fire-fighting systems across high-rise structures.
- Read and interpret plumbing and MEP drawings to ensure accurate layout and alignment.
- Install and connect PPR, CPVC, GI, HDPE, and other piping systems as per project requirements.
- Coordinate plumbing works with civil, electrical, and HVAC teams to avoid service clashes.
- Perform pressure testing, hydro testing, and commissioning of water and drainage systems.
- Ensure correct slope, pipe sizing, and flow direction in horizontal and vertical plumbing lines.
- Install and test plumbing fixtures, pumps, valves, tanks, and sanitary ware.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure proper use of tools and PPE, especially when working at height or in confined spaces.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repairs during installation and post-construction phases.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ITI / Diploma in Plumbing
- 3–8 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial plumbing works.
- Familiarity with booster pumps, STP connections, water tanks, and pressure systems.
- Understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Skills Required:
- Ability to read plumbing and MEP drawings.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing materials and techniques.
- Teamwork and effective communication on-site.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions.
