“Supply Chain Manager Wanted: Optimize, Innovate, Transform!”
About the Role:
Responsible to manage the SCM team, oversee and optimize our supplier relationships, ensure procurement efficiency, and drive supply chain excellence. The Supplier Manager will be responsible for selecting and managing vendors, negotiating contracts, ensuring quality compliance, and continuously improving supplier performance to meet organizational goals.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals and improve efficiency, service levels, and cost-effectiveness.
Procurement & Supplier Management: Oversee procurement activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
Contract Negotiation & Compliance: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with business objectives. Ensure suppliers comply with contractual obligations, legal requirements, and company policies.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of supply chain consultants. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
Process Improvement: Standardize and improve internal processes to enhance scalability, speed, and efficiency. Leverage automation and process efficiencies where possible.
Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate supplier performance using key metrics such as delivery time, quality, cost, and responsiveness. Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans as needed.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply base. Develop contingency plans for critical suppliers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams including operations, quality assurance, R&D, and finance to align supplier capabilities with business needs.
Cost Management: Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining or improving quality and service levels. Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Onboarding & Auditing: Evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers. Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure adherence to standards.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in all supply chain activities. Proactively manage supply chain risks and disruptions. Acts in line with NES Fircroft code of conduct and HSE policy at all times
Decision Making: Defining the strategy for managing NES’ 3rd party suppliers and best practices
Accountability: Oversee the management of 3rd party suppliers to NES including supplier onboarding, compliance, ongoing compliance, audits, negotiations and efficiency/cost savings
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CIPS).
- 5+ years of experience in supplier or vendor management, preferably in the staffing or engineering industries
- Experience with international sourcing and global supplier networks.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of contract law and sourcing best practices.
- Familiarity with sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
