Job Summary
The Senior Scientific Officer will be responsible for managing and monitoring Biochemistry laboratory activities, ensuring accurate testing, result validation, quality compliance, and timely reporting as per SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and monitor routine and specialized Biochemistry testing.
- Review, validate, and authorize laboratory test results.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting within defined TAT.
- Monitor daily QC, calibration, and instrument performance.
- Identify abnormal, critical, or discrepant results and take appropriate action.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with the concerned team.
- Ensure proper sample processing and workflow within the department.
- Maintain SOPs, quality records, and laboratory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- Handle report corrections/amendments as per defined procedures.
- Guide and supervise junior team members.
- Coordinate with other departments for smooth laboratory operations.
- Support internal audits, quality checks, and corrective actions.
Qualification
- M.Sc./B.Sc. in Biochemistry / Medical Biochemistry or relevant qualification.
- Relevant experience in Biochemistry laboratory operations and reporting preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Biochemistry testing and result validation.
- Good understanding of QC and laboratory processes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team handling and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
