Are you passionate about building secure, scalable, and automated cloud networking solutions at enterprise scale? As a Senior Technical Product Manager within Optum's Public Cloud organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of our multi-cloud networking capabilities across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
In this role, you will partner with engineering teams, cloud architects, security leaders, and application teams to modernize networking experiences that accelerate cloud adoption while ensuring compliance, reliability, and operational excellence. You will help define requirements, drive prioritization, and execute strategic networking initiatives that enable thousands of developers and hundreds of cloud workloads across the enterprise.
This role is ideal for an experienced technical product manager who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, influencing cross-functional teams, and delivering products that simplify cloud networking for application teams.
Primary Responsibilities:

Product Ownership and Strategy (20%)
-
Own and drive specific cloud networking product areas within the Public Cloud portfolio, including connectivity, ingress/egress, service networking, network security, traffic management, DNS, and hybrid cloud networking

Partner with senior product leadership to define vision, roadmap priorities, and quarterly objectives for networking capabilities
-
Work closely with application teams to understand networking challenges, onboarding friction points, and operational pain points

Identify opportunities to improve automation, self-service experiences, scalability, and developer productivity

Translate business and technical requirements into product roadmaps and delivery plans
-
Execution and Delivery (60%)
-
Manage and prioritize networking product backlogs across multiple engineering teams
-
Define detailed product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics
-
Lead delivery of cloud networking initiatives spanning Azure, AWS, and GCP environments
-
Drive improvements in cloud onboarding, network provisioning, firewall automation, service connectivity, and developer enablement workflows

Coordinate delivery dependencies across engineering, security, compliance, infrastructure, and operations teams
-
Monitor product health, adoption metrics, reliability measures, and customer satisfaction indicators

Support release planning, testing, rollout strategies, and operational readiness activities

Drive issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives through customer feedback and operational insights

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration (20%)

Serve as a trusted partner to engineering managers, architects, security teams, and application stakeholders

Facilitate alignment across multiple teams with competing priorities and objectives
-
Communicate roadmap progress, delivery updates, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes to leadership

Support portfolio-level planning, quarterly business reviews, and strategic initiatives

Champion customer-focused product development and data-driven decision making

Required Qualifications (8-12+ years):

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

5+ years of product management experience with technical infrastructure, cloud platform, networking, or enterprise technology products

3+ years of experience working with public cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
-
Experience working with cloud-native networking services such as Azure Virtual Network, AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Cloud DNS, Azure DNS, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, and related technologies

Experience collaborating with engineering teams using Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
-
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, private connectivity, VPNs, and hybrid networking
-
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements and customer value propositions
-
Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and successfully deliver complex initiatives
-
Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making

Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to technical and business stakeholders
