The Assistant Civil Engineer will play a key role in the planning, execution, and supervision of civil works associated with Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs). The position requires expertise in civil engineering concepts, site management, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Assist in the preparation and review of civil engineering designs, layouts, and drawings.
- Supervise and monitor construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Site Supervision:
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
- Identify potential risks or issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, including progress reports, material usage, and inspection logs.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for review by the project team.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Work closely with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly and escalate major challenges to the Project Manager.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in civil engineering within the EPC sector, preferably in water or wastewater treatment projects.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internships will also be considered.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and civil engineering design software.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Familiarity with structural analysis and project management tools is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under tight deadlines.
