Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Start up and shut down machines; monitor gauges, temperatures, and pressures to ensure the process remains within "the window" of specified parameters. Material Handling: Ensure hoppers are filled with the correct resin and color concentrates; manage regrind (recycled plastic) levels. Quality Control: Conduct frequent visual inspections and use precision tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify part dimensions against blueprints. Secondary Operations: Trim excess plastic (flash), assemble components, and package finished goods according to work instructions. Troubleshooting: Identify and report machine malfunctions or "bad shots" (e.g., burning, bubbles, or warping) to the technician or supervisor. Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean "5S" workspace and strictly follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during mold changes or jams.
