Job description:
Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead and manage large-scale infrastructure projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial design and feasibility to final site execution. This role requires a professional who can bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and high-level departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to 2026 safety and environmental standards.
- Design & Review: Supervise the development and approval of detailed 2D/3D design plans, structural blueprints.
- Direct Reporting: Provide regular, high-level project progress reports, budget updates, and risk assessments to the Head of Department.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with updated 2026 local, state, and federal building codes, as well as modern sustainability mandates.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a key liaison between the department, external contractors, and clients to resolve technical challenges.
- Mentorship: Guide and train junior engineers and technical staff to maintain high departmental workmanship standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record in a similar senior or managerial role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Structural or Construction Management preferred).
- Technical Mastery: Proficiency in advanced engineering.
- Leadership: Strong decision-making, analytical, and conflict-resolution skills necessary for high-level departmental collaboration.
