Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to inspect machined components and ensure they meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in machine shop inspection, precision measuring instruments, and interpreting technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Perform dimensional inspection using precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Verify product conformity to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
- Identify and report non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions.
- Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure calibration status of measuring instruments before use.
- Follow ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other applicable quality management system requirements.
- Maintain 5S and comply with workplace safety standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of machine shop inspection processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.

- Height Gauge
- Dial Indicator
- Thread Plug & Ring Gauges
- Surface Plate
- Slip Gauges
- Radius Gauges
- Knowledge of surface finish and tolerance inspection.
- Familiarity with SPC, CAPA, and basic quality tools.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Qualifications
- ITI, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing quality inspection role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation and reporting.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 quality standards.
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering manufacturing.
