Job Description
Key Purpose
The role is to assess the condition, value, and marketability of used vehicles. You will perform detailed inspections, appraisals, and provide accurate evaluations to determine the trade-in or sale value of used cars.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Inspection and Appraisal:
Conduct thorough inspections of used vehicles, examining their exterior, interior, mechanical components, and overall condition.
Evaluate the vehicle's history, including maintenance records, accident history, and ownership information.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess the functionality of various vehicle systems.
Determine the fair market value of used vehicles based on their condition, mileage, age, market trends, and other factors.
Document and record detailed findings and appraisal reports.
2. Customer Interaction and Communication:
Interact with customers and discuss the evaluation results, explaining the value of their used vehicles.
Provide accurate and transparent information regarding the evaluation process, factors influencing the value, and potential trade-in or sale options.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the evaluation process.
Collaborate with sales consultants or managers to assist customers in understanding the appraisal results and making informed decisions.
3. Market Research and Pricing Analysis:
Stay updated on market trends, pricing guides, and industry standards for used vehicles.
Analyze data and research comparable vehicles to determine competitive pricing and accurate valuations.
Consider factors such as model popularity, demand, regional market conditions, and depreciation rates in the pricing analysis.
Collaborate with sales and management teams to establish pricing strategies for used vehicles.
4. Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of the evaluation process, including vehicle details, inspection findings, appraisal values, and any additional information.
Prepare appraisal reports, ensuring they are thorough, well-documented, and comply with company policies and procedures.
Manage and organize documentation related to used vehicle evaluations, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
SKILLS Requirement
a) Solid knowledge of automotive mechanics, systems, and components.
b) Experience in performing detailed vehicle inspections and evaluations.
c) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
d) Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in the evaluation process.
e) Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify hidden or potential issues with used vehicles.
f) Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
g) Proficiency in using computer software and applications for documentation and record-keeping.
h) Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Education
ITI or automobile diploma
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in Vehicle evaluation.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
