Manager - Production and Procurement

Roles and Responsibilities (FMCG Industry)
- Agri-Food Strategy: Develop and execute procurement and supply chain strategies tailored specifically to the agri/food processing industry.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage key vendor and customer relationships.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, material shortages, or quality issues.
- Process Optimization: Continuously review and optimize procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations strictly comply with food safety regulations, industry standards, company policies, and health and safety protocols.
- Quality & Certifications: Implement and oversee quality control systems to ensure all raw materials and products meet required certifications and standards.
- Food Traceability: Establish and maintain traceability systems to track raw materials seamlessly from suppliers through to finished products.
- Production Planning & Forecasting: Develop production plans, set schedules, allocate resources, and ensure consistency across forecasting, procurement, and production.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, production, and logistics departments to ensure a seamless flow of information and materials.
- Plant & Systems Oversight: Develop and support transparent, efficient operational systems for the plant while executing assigned projects with full responsibility.
- Resource Optimization: Manage and utilize plant resources effectively, including manufacturing equipment, materials, and manpower.
- Waste Reduction: Continuously evaluate manufacturing processes to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and maintain high product quality.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all machinery is in good working condition by scheduling regular servicing and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Inventory System Design: Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize control procedures for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Inventory Coordination: Maintain balanced stock levels to ensure adequate production supplies while coordinating with logistics for efficient product distribution.
- Budgeting & Financial Reporting: Prepare and manage the plant's budget, control production costs, and report on financial performance and efficiency.
- Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date records of all production activities, equipment maintenance, and quality control logs.
Skills Required
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Minimum 3+ Years of Experience in a similar role in the Agri/Food industry
- Good Computer Skills including knowledge of Excel and Google Forms
- Flexible and able to perform despite of tight scheduled
- Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Must take initiative to complete task assigned
- Should be ready to work in rotational shifts on requirement.
