Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Operations
- Plan, schedule, and execute daily/weekly/monthly production activities to meet output targets
- Monitor batch manufacturing records (BMR) and ensure compliance at every production stage
- Coordinate with Planning, QA, QC, Stores, and Maintenance to ensure seamless production flow
- Oversee scale-up of new API molecules from pilot to commercial production
- Drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvements and reduce production downtime
Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all production activities adhere to Schedule M, WHO-GMP, and ICH guidelines
- Review and approve SOPs, BMRs, deviation reports, change controls, and CAPAs
- Support internal audits, regulatory inspections (CDSCO, FDA, EU GMP), and customer audits
- Maintain zero critical observations during regulatory inspections by ensuring shop floor readiness
- Ensure proper documentation and data integrity practices across the production department
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead a team of production officers, supervisors, and operators — typically 20–50+ personnel
- Conduct daily shift briefings, performance reviews, and competency assessments
- Identify training needs and ensure continuous skill development of the production workforce
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement on the shop floor
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
- Enforce strict adherence to EHS protocols, PPE usage, and hazardous chemical handling procedures
- Conduct regular safety walks, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Ensure all solvent handling, waste disposal, and effluent management practices meet regulatory norms
Cost & Efficiency Management
- Monitor and control consumption of raw materials, solvents, utilities, and packaging materials
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety
- Prepare and present monthly production MIS reports to senior management
- Drive yield improvement projects and reduction of batch failures and rework
Pay: ₹8,782.38 - ₹29,152.68 per month
