Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Audit Associate to
join our team. As an Audit Associate, you will assist in providing high-quality audit
services to our clients by performing audits, preparing financial statements, and
ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards. You will work
closely with senior team members to execute audit engagements, perform testing of
financial data, and assist in identifying potential risks and opportunities for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing audit engagements for a variety of clients
across different industries.
- Perform detailed testing of financial statements and internal controls,
ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare working papers and audit documentation in line with firm and
regulatory standards.
- Analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential
areas of concern.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and client
deliverables.
- Conduct interviews with client staff and stakeholders to gather information
related to the audit.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating risk areas, providing insights to clients for
improvement.
- Collaborate with team members and senior auditors to ensure the completion
of audits within deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and relevant
regulations.
- Assist in preparing internal reports, summaries, and final audit findings for
review by senior management.
- Stay up-to-date on industry changes, accounting standards, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of audit processes, accounting principles, and financial
reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity
with audit software is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements, if required.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Previous internship or experience in public accounting or auditing.
- Knowledge of auditing software (e.g., CaseWare, ProSystem FX).
- CPA or progress toward obtaining CPA certification is a plus.
