Job Summary:
The Weigh Bridge Operator / Billing Executive is responsible for managing vehicle weighing operations, maintaining accurate weight records, preparing billing documents, and ensuring smooth inward and outward movement of materials at the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Weigh Bridge Operations
- Operate weigh bridge system for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Record gross weight, tare weight, and net weight accurately.
- Ensure proper vehicle entry and exit records are maintained.
- Verify loaded and unloaded material details with physical movement.
Material Monitoring
- Monitor inward raw material and outward finished goods dispatch.
- Ensure accurate weight of refractory materials, raw materials, and finished products.
- Coordinate with stores, dispatch, and production departments for smooth operations.
Billing & Documentation
- Prepare invoices, delivery challans, weigh slips, and billing documents.
- Maintain proper documentation of all dispatch and receipt transactions.
- Update daily records in ERP / Excel / billing software.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly weigh bridge reports.
- Report discrepancies in weight or material movement to management.
- Maintain records for audit and compliance purposes.
Coordination
- Coordinate with transporters, drivers, stores, and dispatch teams.
- Ensure smooth movement of vehicles to avoid delays and congestion.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow plant safety rules and weigh bridge procedures.
- Ensure accuracy, transparency, and proper documentation at all times.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate / Diploma / 12th Pass with relevant experience
- Basic computer knowledge required
Experience:
- 2–5 years in weigh bridge operations, billing, dispatch, or stores
- Experience in refractory / manufacturing industry preferred
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of weigh bridge operations
- Billing and documentation skills
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ERP, Billing Software)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
