UAV Systems Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced UAV Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, testing, and deployment of advanced UAV platforms, including Quadcopters, Hexacopters, FPV drones, Fixed-Wing UAVs, and VTOL systems. The candidate will be responsible for developing customized drone solutions, integrating subsystems, conducting flight testing, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting customer demonstrations and field operations.

Experience: 1–3+ years of hands-on UAV development experience.
Key Responsibilities
UAV Design & Development
- Design and develop customized UAV platforms including Multirotor, Fixed-Wing, VTOL, FPV, and Heavy-Lift drones.
- Participate in airframe selection and structural design.
- Perform UAV system architecture development and subsystem integration.
- Select and integrate propulsion systems, ESCs, motors, batteries, payloads, telemetry systems, and communication links.
- Develop UAV configurations based on mission requirements.
VTOL & Fixed-Wing Engineering
- Design and optimize VTOL configurations.
- Understand aerodynamics, wing design, control surfaces, center of gravity, thrust-to-weight calculations, and stability analysis.
- Conduct payload capacity and endurance calculations.
- Evaluate and improve UAV flight characteristics.
Flight Controller & Autopilot Integration
- Configure and tune Pixhawk, Cube Orange, Cube Orange+, Holybro, and custom flight controllers.
- Strong experience with ArduPilot, QGroundControl (QGC), Mission Planner, and MAVLink.
- Configure flight modes, failsafes, telemetry, and mission planning.
Flight Testing & UAV Operations
- Conduct flight testing of Quadcopters, Hexacopters, VTOL UAVs, Fixed-Wing UAVs, and FPV systems.
- Develop and execute flight test plans.
- Analyze flight logs and identify performance issues.
- Ensure flight safety and regulatory compliance.
System Integration & Troubleshooting
- Integrate GPS, telemetry systems, RC systems, companion computers, cameras, and communication systems.
- Diagnose and resolve flight instability, GPS issues, vibration problems, power system failures, communication link issues, and autopilot configuration problems.
- Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
Field Operations & Customer Support
- Travel to customer locations for demonstrations, deployments, trials, technical support, and training.
- Support defense, government, industrial, and enterprise customers.
- Coordinate field testing and customer acceptance trials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering.
- Proven experience building and flying Quadcopters, Hexacopters, VTOL UAVs, Fixed-Wing UAVs, and FPV drones.
- Experience with heavy-lift and custom UAV platforms preferred.
Preferred Skills
- PX4 Autopilot experience.
- CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or CATIA.
- UAV manufacturing and production experience.
- Customer demonstration and training experience.

Salary Range: In hand Rs.34,000/- to Rs.50,000/- per month + PF, ESIC, & Health Insurance Benefits. (CTC: 4,72,381 – 6,68,996)
