ROLE PROFILE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Client Account Modification team (CAM) is a sub-unit of Client Documentation Services within the COO Office. The members of the CAM team perform various account documentation review for change in client’s circumstances, scanning and archival of documents for the CDS team. The team plays an important role to ensure the clients' static data and documents are maintained accurately and timely.
The India CDS Head will oversee CAM and is a key leadership member in the broader CDS Singapore Department. He / she is responsible for leading the team of 15 members. He / she is responsible for planning, leading, controlling and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of its people.
KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION
People Management
· To adhere to the prescribed CDS supervisory performance management framework
· To provide people management for the respective -
(a) Implementing measures for high staff performance
(b) Sharing information with team members on a timely basis
(c) Putting emphasis on skills upgrading and multi-tasking by implementing Cross Training and Job Rotation programs
(d) Playing role of strong mentor to develop required skills within the team
(e) Act as a coach and mentor to team members, develop team members and ensure their performance at the optimum level
(f) Periodically, provide constructive and objective feedback to team members
Client Management (internal & external)
· Establish and build strong relationship through consistent interaction with CDS Singapore, Front Office/key stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance and Risk Management teams across the Bank regarding the services and support required and challenges faced
· Foster discipline and good working practices within the teams to deliver consistent service, meet the established SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements
Business Management
· Strong commitment to quality service and a desire to drive innovation and continuous process improvement initiatives
· Support and oversee new initiatives and ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
· Plan training programs to ensure staff is competent to execute the daily activities
· Communicate instructions to team relating to the team responsibilities
· Allocate work into manageable activities, and assign employee to accomplish tasks
· Perform management reporting and data analysis on key operational risk items
· Proactively identify areas of improvement and suggest viable solutions with the aim to improve quality, productivity and efficiency in the team
· Accountable for the actions of employees under your charge and the conduct of the business under your purview
Regulatory Responsibilities &/or Risk Management
· Supervise team activities ensuring compliant with regulations and internal policies
· Work with Legal & Compliance and other stakeholders on documentation requirements
· Familiar with CRS, FATCA and QI documentations and annual regulatory reporting

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Professional and Technical
· Degree with more than 12 years of related banking working experience, ideally in private banking
· At least 3 years in a managerial role.
· Good working knowledge and applicability in FATCA/CRS/QI regulation and reporting is an added advantage.
· Able to assist Head of CDS Singapore in internal, external audit and quality assurance review
· Able to support Head of CDS Singapore in the initial team setup, training and guidance to the juniors in India
· A good degree and understanding of the Private Banking and Wealth Management industry
· Proficient use of MS Office software applications and aptitude for technology
