Position: Quality Executive
Job Summary
The Quality Executive will be responsible for ensuring that china clay (kaolin) products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications for ceramic applications. The role involves quality inspections, laboratory coordination, process monitoring, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
- Inspect raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Coordinate with the laboratory for testing of key quality parameters such as brightness, whiteness, particle size, moisture, residue, and pH.
- Analyze quality reports and identify deviations or non-conformities.
- Work closely with production and process teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and applicable quality management systems.
- Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, and reports.
- Handle customer quality complaints and support root cause analysis.
- Assist in new product development, product trials, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in internal quality audits and continuous process improvement programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Ceramic Engineering, Ceramic Technology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) within the ceramic, tiles, sanitaryware, refractory, or china clay (kaolin) industry.
- Candidates with experience in ceramic raw material testing and quality systems will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of ceramic raw materials and quality standards.
- Knowledge of QA/QC tools, inspection techniques, and laboratory testing procedures.
- Familiarity with quality parameters such as brightness, whiteness, particle size, moisture, residue, and pH.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in the ceramic or industrial minerals industry.
- Knowledge of ISO quality management systems and quality audits.
- Ability to interpret laboratory results and implement quality improvements.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
