About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Production Manager with 15+ years of exclusive experience in the Jewellery Manufacturing Industry, preferably handling high-end Gold & Silver Jewellery production.
The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end production planning, execution, technical problem-solving, process improvement, team leadership, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality jewellery from CAD to finished product.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Plan, monitor, and execute end-to-end jewellery production to meet quality and client delivery timelines.
- Manage and coordinate CAD, Wax Injection, Casting, Filing, Stone Setting, Polishing, Plating, Quality Control, and Product Development processes.
- Ensure smooth order flow from CAD → Wax → Casting → Setting → Finishing → Quality → Dispatch.
- Monitor production capacity, bottlenecks, productivity, rejection, rework, and delivery schedules.
- Independently diagnose and resolve technical production issues across jewellery manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot wax injection and wax pattern issues, shrinkage, distortion, brittle wax, poor tree assembly, casting defects, and other downstream manufacturing problems.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize rejection and rework.
- Provide technical solutions for recurring production and quality challenges.
- Review CAD files from a manufacturability perspective before they move to wax/casting.
- Identify issues related to design tolerances, wall thickness, prong strength, stone-seat sizing, structural integrity, and casting feasibility.
- Work closely with CAD/design teams to modify designs where required for efficient manufacturing.
- Wax, Casting & Jewellery Manufacturing Expertise
- Strong hands-on understanding of wax injection, wax selection, injection pressure, temperature control, wax patterns, and tree assembly.
- Deep working knowledge of Lost Wax Casting and jewellery casting processes.
- Strong understanding of investment behaviour and alloy behaviour for:
- 14K Gold
- 18K Gold
- 925 Silver
- Ability to identify and resolve casting-related defects and process deviations.
- New Product Development & Technology Adoption
- Lead production trials for new alloys, finishes, manufacturing techniques, and product development initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and processes to improve productivity, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Work with CAD/CAM and 3D printing / printed-wax pattern workflows for new product development.
- Coordinate closely with Design, CAD, Costing, Sampling, Quality, Product Development, and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure seamless communication and order movement across departments.
- Support the development and sampling of new and technically challenging jewellery designs.
- Coordinate with external vendors and job workers wherever required.
- Monitor vendor quality, timelines, technical specifications, and cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs without compromising product quality.
- Lead, train, and manage production teams across different jewellery manufacturing processes.
- Set production targets and monitor individual departmental performance.
- Prepare and report production MIS, efficiency, rejection, rework, and delivery performance to the Plant Head / Director – Operations.
- Build a culture of accountability, technical excellence, quality, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements:-
- 15+ years of experience exclusively in Jewellery Manufacturing.
- Strong experience in high-end Gold & Silver Jewellery Manufacturing.
- Proven experience managing large-scale / multi-process jewellery production.
- Strong technical knowledge of CAD, CAM, wax, casting, setting, polishing, plating, and finishing processes.
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software and 3D printing / wax-pattern workflows, with the ability to assess CAD files for manufacturability.
- Hands-on expertise in wax injection, wax selection, pressure & temperature parameters, tree assembly, and defect diagnosis.
- Deep knowledge of Lost Wax Casting and Gold/Silver alloy behaviour.
- Strong understanding of 14K & 18K Gold and 925 Silver manufacturing.
- Excellent technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Strong production planning, execution, team management, and delivery management skills.
- Ability to handle technically complex, high-value jewellery production with a strong focus on quality, precision, and timelines.
The ideal candidate should be a hands-on jewellery manufacturing professional who can independently identify technical problems, understand their root causes, and implement practical solutions across the complete production cycle—from CAD and wax development to casting, setting, finishing, quality, and dispatch.
Candidates with experience outside the Jewellery Manufacturing Industry will not be considered.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month
