Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glass Cutting Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting glass according to production drawings, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safe operation of glass cutting equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual glass cutting machines as per production requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting layouts, and work orders.
- Measure, mark, and cut glass sheets to specified dimensions with precision.
- Inspect glass for defects such as scratches, chips, cracks, or other imperfections.
- Ensure maximum material utilization while minimizing wastage.
- Perform edge-breaking or basic finishing after cutting, where required.
- Handle and transport glass safely to prevent damage and injuries.
- Maintain production records and report daily output to the supervisor.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of cutting machines and tools.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and 5S practices.
- Coordinate with the production, quality, and dispatch teams to meet production schedules.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of manual glass cutting operations.
- Ability to read measuring instruments and technical drawings.
- Good understanding of glass types, thicknesses, and cutting techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for cutting equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma / High School (10th/12th) or equivalent.
- Technical certification in Glass Processing or Machine Operation will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience 4 to 5 Year in architectural glass, tempered glass, laminated glass, decorative glass, or float glass manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with manual glass cutting tables.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
