Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly driven and field-oriented Solution Sales Engineer to promote and sell SigmaNEST software solutions. This is a field-intensive role involving extensive travel to manufacturing units, fabrication shops, and industrial clients.
The role requires a strong ability to engage with production teams, shop floor managers, and business owners, understand their cutting/nesting challenges, and position SigmaNEST as a productivity and cost-optimization solution.
This is a field-intensive role requiring 80% time in client visits and on-ground sales activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Sales & Prospecting (Core Focus):
- Conduct daily field visits to sheet metal industries, fabrication units, OEMs, and CNC cutting operations.
- Generate leads through cold visits, industrial area mapping, and references.
- Meet decision-makers such as production heads, plant managers, and business owners.
- Build a strong pipeline through consistent on-ground networking and follow-ups.
Consultative Selling (On-Site):
- Understand customer challenges related to material utilization, nesting efficiency, and cutting processes.
- Position SigmaNEST as a solution to reduce scrap, improve machine efficiency, and optimize production costs.
- Coordinate with technical teams for software demonstrations, trials, and proof-of-concepts (POCs).
Territory Management:
- Manage and develop assigned territories (Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Nashik).
- Plan and execute weekly travel schedules for maximum coverage.
- Maintain structured tracking of visits, leads, and opportunities in CRM.
Sales Closure & Execution:
- Drive the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial offers.
- Conduct negotiations and ensure timely conversion of opportunities.
Account Management & Growth:
- Build long-term relationships through regular site visits and engagement.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing customers.
- Coordinate with implementation/support teams for smooth onboarding.
Candidate Profile:
Education:
- Diploma in Mechanical and/or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or related Engineering field.
- MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in B2B field sales, preferably in:
- CAD/CAM / CNC / Manufacturing software
- Sheet metal / fabrication / industrial equipment
- Freshers with strong technical understanding and willingness for field sales may be considered.
Technical Competencies:
- Basic understanding of:
- CNC cutting processes (laser, plasma, punch, waterjet)
- Sheet metal fabrication workflows
- Exposure to nesting software or CAM tools is a plus.
Key Skills:
- Strong field selling and on-ground prospecting ability
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to translate technical benefits into business value (cost savings, efficiency)
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable with extensive travel

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
