Job Description
We are a leading retail group hiring an experienced *Fashion Designer* for our *Mohey – Ethnic Wear Store* in *Jayanagar, Bangalore*. The ideal candidate will drive customer conversions through personalized styling and custom stitching consultations for wedding & occasion wear.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Consultation: Interact with walk-in customers, understand their requirements for bridal, trousseau, and festive wear.
2. Design & Customization: Suggest suitable designs, fabrics, and embellishments. Create sketches and guide customers on custom stitching options.
3. Convert to Stitching: Proactively convert ready-made inquiries into custom stitching orders to increase store revenue.
4. Measurement & Fitting: Take accurate measurements and coordinate with master tailors for timely delivery and perfect fits.
5. Trend Awareness: Stay updated on latest ethnic wear trends, wedding fashion, and regional preferences.
6. Visual Merchandising Support: Assist in styling mannequins and suggesting display changes to highlight designer pieces.
7. Client Relationship: Build rapport with customers for repeat business and referrals, especially for wedding orders.
8. Target Achievement: Meet monthly targets for stitching conversions and incentive slabs.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Fashion Designer in wedding wear, bridal boutiques, or ethnic wear brands.
- Skills: Strong sketching, knowledge of fabrics like silk, net, georgette, zardosi & handwork. Excellent communication in Kannada, Hindi & English.
- Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Fashion Designing from a recognized institute preferred.
- Other: Pleasing personality, customer-centric approach, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Must be willing to work on weekends & festival seasons.
