About the Role
Naruvi Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant Radiologist to join our Radiology Department. The ideal candidate should possess strong diagnostic expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The consultant will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide timely, accurate radiological interpretations to support clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and report a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including:
- X-ray
- Ultrasound
- CT Scan
- MRI
- Doppler studies
- Mammography (preferred)
- Perform and supervise image-guided diagnostic and interventional procedures as per competency.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and clinically relevant radiology reports.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams to discuss imaging findings and patient management.
- Maintain high standards of quality, patient safety, and radiation protection.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and accreditation activities.
- Supervise and guide radiographers, technicians, and junior medical staff where applicable.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in departmental meetings, CMEs, and continuing professional development activities.
Qualifications
- MD/DNB in Radiodiagnosis (or equivalent qualification recognized by the National Medical Commission).
- Valid Medical Council registration.
- Fellowship or additional certification in a subspecialty is desirable but not mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum: 1 year
- Maximum: 5 years
- Experience in reporting cross-sectional imaging (CT and MRI) is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong diagnostic and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, and Doppler imaging.
- Sound clinical judgment and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient-centred care.
Work Schedule
- Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts
- Working Hours: 9 hours per day
- Working Days: 6 days per week
- Availability to participate in emergency and on-call duties as per departmental roster.
Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
