Senior Business Development Executive Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Business Development Executive to drive business growth, generate revenue, acquire new clients, and strengthen customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to deal closure and account management.
In addition to individual sales and business development responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to establish processes, mentor team members, and build a Business Development and Sales team when required to support the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities across various industries and markets.
- Generate qualified leads through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking, referrals, events, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue growth.
- Explore new market segments and expansion opportunities.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead qualification to deal closure.
- Conduct discovery calls, client meetings, product demonstrations, and presentations.
- Understand client requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and commercial agreements.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to maximize profitability.
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Gather customer feedback and coordinate with internal teams to improve service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
Team Building & Leadership
- Establish and streamline business development and sales processes.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage Business Development Executives and Sales Executives as the company grows.
- Create performance benchmarks, KPIs, and reporting structures for the team.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching to improve results.
- Foster a high-performance, target-driven sales culture.
- Coordinate team activities to ensure consistent lead generation and conversion.
Strategic Planning & Market Analysis
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
- Identify emerging industry trends and customer needs.
- Develop strategic partnerships and alliances.
- Contribute to business planning, revenue forecasting, and growth strategies.
- Provide management with regular reports on pipeline status, sales performance, and market opportunities.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, client interactions, and sales activities.
- Track and report sales metrics, conversion rates, and business development performance.
- Ensure CRM data is updated and utilized effectively for decision-making.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reports.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 4–7 years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Acquisition.
- Mandatory Educational Qualification: BCA, B.Tech, MCA, or M.Tech.
- Strong understanding of IT services, software solutions, web development, ERP/CRM systems, SaaS products, and digital solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve revenue targets and close high-value deals.
- Experience handling enterprise clients and B2B sales is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to build and manage a team.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, sales reporting, and pipeline management.
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, networking events, and business opportunities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should possess both strong individual contributor capabilities and the potential to build and lead a high-performing business development and sales team.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
