Job Summary
The Assistant Restaurant Manager assists in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent guest service, efficient staff management, and smooth operational performance. The role involves supervising service teams, maintaining quality standards, handling guest concerns, and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day restaurant operations.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and customer satisfaction at all times.
- Supervise restaurant staff and ensure smooth service during operating hours.
- Conduct daily briefings and assign duties to team members.
- Monitor staff grooming, attendance, discipline, and performance.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food service.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory, stock levels, and restaurant supplies.
- Assist in controlling operational costs and minimizing wastage.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales and revenue targets.
- Ensure proper billing procedures and cash handling practices.
- Train and develop restaurant staff to maintain service excellence.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Assist in organizing special events, promotions, and banquet functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in restaurant operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
- Experience in star hotels or premium restaurants preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and guest relation abilities.
- Good knowledge of restaurant service standards and POS systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
